Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian Tyres will temporarily halt production at its factory in the city of Nokia, putting 650 employees on leave.

The factory shutdown is scheduled for next year, according to a company statement on Tuesday, October 28.
The planned measures include the temporary dismissal of approximately 650 employees, including management personnel and all workers involved in the production of both passenger car tires and truck tires.
The production suspension is expected to last up to 90 days. The company may implement this decision until the end of 2026.
By the end of this year, Nokian Tyres is preparing to lay off more permanent employees.
