That's awesome, honestly. I was that stupid kid back then that absolutely hated the way he looked, and was insanely jealous of lean/muscular bodies... yet just pouted and drank soda, ate crap every day, doing no exercise other than the odd sport. Any time I tried to work out on my own, I'd see zero progress and just assume there's something wrong with me.

But I got a job that mixed manual labour with retail (basically lifting heavy shit all day at a garden centre), and I ended up losing my "baby fat" super late at like 23 years old. Once the weight came off and I was getting stronger, I started to push heavy weights. Got in absolutely sublime shape, and have been ever since. I'm now 35 and in the best shape of my life, but I really do wish I figured it out sooner. I was young and attractive in my youth, but just kinda skinny fat and soft; I would have had so much more fun from 18-23 if I were strong and lean.

You don't realize how short your youth really is. If you're going to looks-maxxx, do it young.
