He could troll /pol/'s White Flight enjoyers much more easily by just pointing to realities like the Holodomor or America's own Civil War, as well as many other instances besides. When scattered rural folk are pitted against tight monied urbanites in history, the urbanites tend to win and the rural folk tend to lose. This reality should be fairly obvious - why are the capitals of political power in cities? If rural Chads are really so powerful, shouldn't the elite be settling themselves in their rural strongholds where they can project power most effectively? But in reality they don't do that; a rural retreat is always just that, a retreat, an admission that the actual center of power - the city - could not be held. In history cities beat farms, that's why cities exist. A balled up fist works much better than scattered fingers.
Whites didn't give up the city because we decided we didn't like it, we retreated from the cities because we couldn't figure out how to hold onto them and we scattered to save our own skins. You can't even call it a retreat really, as a retreat is organized - this was a rout. Chaotic, bloody, and a prelude to total defeat.
