And that guy will be stronger than you faster, it makes sense to use weights in certain applications and goals. If I'm training to be a sprinter I would need a squat rack and weights to improve. If I'm training to play football I need full range of weights. If I'm training to fight certain weights can shorten my training times and add strength in ways calisthenics can't.
