Well actually I think you'll find that most things like marriage rate, crime rate, moral behavior....etc do not correlate to religion whatsoever.
A working class white Christian in a Georgia suburb will have the same propensity to assault as a working class white Atheist in Georgia.
What religion does seem to control is the political behavior. Religion manifests in political action. It's the laws and government choices that religion manifests which actually drives behavior in a substantial way.
Religion --> politics --> Behavior
