We refer to ourselves as "Punjabi-Sikhs" as a way to distinguish us from other Indians or South Asians. When it comes to us Generational Sikhs in Canada, I have never seen one of us ever rep the Indian flag so that webm is pretty accurate. The Indian government hates us so I have no loyalty to that country. Now, to flip things on its head, I do have Indian friends, recent arrivals even, Hindus and Muslims of non-Punjabi background that I think are great people so there's that. My belief is you should always judge individuals on a one v one basis since life is tricky and full of nuance, and because of this, I tend to love everyone the best I can, White, Black, Asian, Latinx, Middle Eastern, it doesn't matter. I know there will be replies saying "You have to go back" but they will roll off my shoulder. Whoever those posters are, I just want to let you know I love you unconditionally as well.
