Fair enough, but there isn't really proof of humans originating from elsewhere.
Also, fossils sitting in drawers for years hardly matter, that's a question of low funding for research; there's too much shit to research and not enough researches. The age of the fossils doesn't change with them sitting at shelves. And our understanding of fossils, dinosaurs etc. has developed over the years also because of us having better means of studying them and finding more shit constantly. I'd also like to add that the only kind of "political climate" interfering with scientific research at the moment is a conservative one, and it's happening via further defunding of science that they don't like.
