BREAKING: Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent just revealed that President Trump’s $2,000 tariff rebates may come in the form of TAX CUTS instead of direct checks
“The President’s goal is to put money back in Americans’ pockets — but that doesn’t necessarily mean a one-time check,” Bessent told George Stephanopoulos.
Under the plan, relief could include:
No tax on tips
No tax on overtime pay
No tax on Social Security income
New deductions for auto and personal loans
“This could save families just as much over time — if not more — than a lump-sum payment,” Bessent said.
Trump is once again proving that America First economics means rewarding workers, not bureaucrats.
