Paganism and platonism are okay western choices, but everything else is completely jewwed up and abrahamic. All the occult traditions are built on Kabbalah which is jewish, and all of Christianity is jew-derived, including the mystical/gnostic offshoots.
Pre-Christian gnosticism/hermeticism is probably a safe bet. But a lot of those schools/sekrit clubs also use kabbalah as a basis.
If Kabbalah is not jewish in origin and they stole it from others, let me know because it annoys the fuck out of me. But I'm pretty positive that even though it was a medieval invention, it was cooked up entirely by rabbis. I've heard some people suggest that the medieval rabbis stole it from an old secret Egyptian system, but I can't find any substantiation for that
