babe. stop seething for a minute and be cool. if politics is what you wanna talk about i guess i'll play along. i'm old enough to remember the aughts. post-9/11 george bush presidency. you think maga had a lot of political momentum but you really have no idea what a mandate looks like. after 2004 it truly looked like the democratic party was dead. even in california everyone had "support our troops" bumper stickers, was wearing flag pins, in school we had to say the pledge of allegiance at weird and inappropriate times, democrats were actually being scrutinized for being terrorists, not just the show trump is putting on with antifa loons. and this is where i grew up, one of the most liberal places in the country. it was crazier elsewhere. it seemed like republicans would have power forever. today is not like then, your side does not have the momentum it did, the numbers, nor the media support. all of which was real back then. my point is you're going to lose the next election, this is the high water mark for this movement, and you should try being happy about the wins you're getting instead of seething about losing your grip, which is going to continue and accelerate.
but i don't even care. i'll be fine whoever wins. i won't be fine without your love. you won't be fine without mine. that's what should be important in your life, is what is important in mine. this is a rock you climb under to hide from that and i want to see that change. you're afraid of what we have and i get it. you have a lot of hate and fear but babe i'm really loveable, really an amazing man, and i love you. please listen, i know better than you, i'm right, and if you follow my lead, i'll take you someplace much happier.
