You have the top 25% salaries of a true first world country but you are getting them in exchange of throwing the other 75% under the bus and getting an africa-tier society that you can only escape by living in millionaire reservations scared of the world outside that bubble.
It's not a bad setup for the right type of people, but for me, I'd always take the alright salary and good society from Europe over the amazing salary but shit society from the USA.
Though european society is about to go to shit in the next 10-20 years.
