Slayer is a cash grab for festivals now. I guess Kerry only wants to see atom Araya a day at a time and not tour with him. And yes, Slayer died with Jeff Henneman. Think of Kerry as Stan Lee and Jeff as Jeff Kirby. Fucking marks think "lead guitar" means they're Jerry Garcia and constantly doing solos but in metal, the rhythm guitarist solos (it blew my mind when I saw Maiden for the first time and Dave Murray did every solo.) Kerry is a lead metal guitarist. He's good for chuggachuggachugga power chords but he's not going to be interesting on his own.
