10/22s are popular. some come with rails to mount a red dot. you could get the basic one with no rails and replace the rear sight with a low profile red dot mount. they aren't as popular, but the dovetail holds the rears sight and keeps it zeroed so I don't see how or why it wouldn't keep a red dot zeroed
