You're being intentionally obtuse and minimizing the actual weight of things there. Dave being paid off is one thing. But the biggest name in wrestling journalism and media, who clearly can and has swayed public opinion, having a vested stake in a company that he's claimed to report on without bias for 6 years now is a big deal. Not only in regard to everything he's said about AEW over all of that time, but then for all he's said about WWE and any other opposing company as well. Especially when he's reported on shit and has gotten inside info on things, not to mention anything false or fabricated he may have put out there. You can try and downplay it all you want but it would be a significant scandal
