You really wanted to hire Colt. You have his bullets, after all, and you want to give them back to him as soon as possible. However! You have a plan brewing in that tiny little sponge of pink meat you call a brain.

Only you and Colt can see the Man. Everyone else outright ignores the Man's presence as if he's simply not there. If you bring him along, the other coworker you hire will think they're only working with you.

That might impact how they act, wouldn't it? It's easier for someone to be more 'honest', for better or worse, if they think they're alone. If you hire Ashton, then whatever's going on with her, you could probably get a better read on it.

The Man would also be there as your second pair of eyes in case she does anything questionable, you know? Alas, your funds are rapidly deteriorating by the second.

>You now have $335

You'll find a way to make cash, you know you will. Worst case scenario, you could always go back to farming cigarette mold. A smile creeps across your face. You wonder how your family would feel if you told them that you make a living selling mold to the government.

The trek back to your lab doesn't take too long. You have a rough sense of which hallways in this shifting, labyrinthian layer you have to walk down to arrive at your lab. After stumbling around another corner, you spot the ZENITH REP exiting your lab.

They briefly glance at you. Both of you nod at each other, no words need to be exchanged here. You let them go and you walk over to the door leading to your lab. You slide inside, scanning around for where they left the report.

A manila folder lies on a nearby table and you can immediately tell at a glance there's not going to be much inside. You already expected that but any information is still better than no information. You open it up to skim the loose piece of paper that was hidden inside.

It's a sprawling list of numbers, various substances that could be found within blood, the levels of said substances in her blood, what health risks those results may spell for her. Thankfully, they color-coded which levels are too high or too low in a human. You skim the report...

"TOO HIGH: Iron, Potassium, Phosphorus, Selenium, Zinc, Hemoglobin, Protein, Magnesium."

"Unusual blood type. Majority resembles type AB but 0.95% of blood cells resemble no currently known blood cell type. Unidentified cells are most likely mutated human blood cells instead of mimic-type cells, common in biojacker abnormalities, but we can not fully confirm what they are."

"Report seems to indicate that 'Ashton' regularly consumes food with excessive levels of Iron, Phosphorous, etc. Said vitamins and minerals can commonly be found in organ meats such as heart or liver meat."

"Likely consumes excessive amounts of those foods. Despite noted elevated levels, all other vitals are normal. No notable health degradation has been detected."
