"Figures," she sighs. Before pointing towards you. "Cletus here will help us with the locals so I must remind you do NOT get in a shootout with the mutants or other locals. They aren't all as reasonable as this settlement."
"...Really not even the mutants?" Confirms the officer looking towards you.
Your eye couldn't help but twitch in response and answered "They are good folk who just hate outsiders and especially the Feds even before the bombs dropped."
"Really now?" For some reason that last part made them all perk right up. "They hate the government too? How about the military?"
This confused you but you nodded in affirmation.
"I'll be damned...mutants with a mutual enemy. Ain't that something," mutters the officer shaking his head. "You'll need to clear that up with the Captain first for confirmation but we at least will try...not to shoot at them. So long as you keep them from shooting us anyway. We have to keep the doc safe you understand."
You nod in understanding.
