Deep breaths, Vincent, deep breaths. You don't know a lot about this particular anomaly, but you KNOW it can do some serious damage to you if it wanted to. You can still make out the dent in the wall from when it was enjoying some music a little bit too much.

"how long have you had this anomaly?"

"A day, tops."

"darn. stuck in the dark with this thing, huh?"

The anomaly's body tenses up all of a sudden. Its upper half lurches forward at an awkward, sharp angle that you couldn't replicate even if you tried. It places its non-bat-wielding hand against the wall in order to regain its balance.

Its breathing is shaky and unstable. More bile leaks out of its mouth and onto the floor, staining more of the powdery white snow black.

The two of you cautiously back away from the anomaly. You're not doing ANYTHING until it calms down. You guess you got lucky with two safe/DALETH anomalies.

The anomaly manages to calm itself down after a minute or so. You hear it mumbling something under its breath, but from this distance, it's impossible to make anything out. It leans away from the wall, returning to its previous position.

"hoo." The air's cold enough that, as Ashton breathes out a sigh of relief, you can see her breath. "okay, that was close. i didn't think it would react like that."

"Me neither. It's in some sort of funk, I think. I know the room wasn't covered in snow last I checked."

"should we clean it up?"

"Probably. Be careful and don't approach the anomaly if you can."

You prepare the cleaning supplies while Ashton keeps an eye on the anomaly. There's no point using water with how cold the room is; it'd probably just freeze on the chilled metal floor. It'd probably be smart to have someone keep watch on the anomaly while the other focuses on cleaning.

"Ashton. Keep an eye on the anomaly. Warn me if the anomaly starts acting out again." "on it!"

You start dusting the floor with your handy dandy broom. You take your time moving throughout the cell, making sure that you don't leave any loose snow on the floor. The snow hasn't had enough time to pile up too much, so sweeping it hardly takes any effort. You're done with it before you know it, and you got a bucket of snow for your trouble.

The bile—that's going to take some actual effort to scrape off. The floor is stained with splotches of frozen-over bile that's going to take some real elbow grease to scrape off. You toss the broom over to Ashton so you can take her place; she's probably stronger than you are.

LOST SINCE 199X hasn't moved from its spot, seemingly content with staring at the wall. Occasionally, it would tap its bat against the floor to a familiar rhythm, but you don't know WHY it feels familiar to you. Even though the anomaly is facing away from you, you still feel like it's staring at you.

Maybe your mind is playing tricks on you. All you can do is pray that it stays there.

You notice Ashton stopped scraping the floor. Huh, did something catch her attention?
