Whilst imaging spacecraft remains challenging, advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning have now enabled accurate spacecraft pose acquisition and estimation from sparse LIDAR point clouds at even limited angular resolution and long detection ranges, enabling active realtime tracking, chase and targeting of noncooperative spacecraft. Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR), which uses movement of the target to generate high resolution imaging (as opposed to the emitter host monitoring spacecraft) generates large datasets enabling visual identification of spacecraft on-orbit using machine learning and even realtime 3d oriented models or digital twins of the target. Furthermore, advancements in algorithms such as LIAISON (Linked Autonomous Interplanetary Satellite Orbit Navigation) are beginning to enable accurate, absolute inertial navigation, using only relative satellite-to-satellite tracking data, to the extent that the mesh network of PNT satellites will become Earth-independent from terrestrial ground station tracking, using autonomous decisionmaking to perform station keeping and their own orbital burns and manoeuvres. You believe integration with these technologies could greatly augment your spacecraft mission capabilities...

>Integrate with the Artemis mesh layer, and receive their best estimate as to the orbital determination of the rogue noncooperative spacecraft (no roll required)

>Wait... I thought space was not supposed to be militarised? What is this Warfighter Battle Management and "Deterrence" Layer??

>Refuse to integrate with their space network. In this case, you must locate the target yourself using your PNT satellites and ground stations:

>Roll1d100
The success threshold is based on your Phase A research capability, ie roll under 20
You can also boost this by up to +20 points (Phase E Mission Command) using funding
Furthermore, if you wish to draw upon your Institutions influence, you can add +35 points, by publicly contacting other researchers, institutions and Deep Space Networks, looking up COSPAR IDs of all known orbital objects and researching any recent avoidance manoeuvres to see if you can detect any undeclared or unregistered entities etc. This Institutions bonus will make your mission and affiliations publicly known
>Allocate up to +20 funding point boost
>Publicly contact other deep space tracking organisations for +35 Institutions boost, declare you are hunting a Rogue Russian Co-orbital Weapons Satellite, on behalf of Artemis Accords enforcement
