You ask the cat if it can repeat itself, saying it's accent is a bit too thick for you to understand.
"Eet doesn't mattair if you undairstand eet, simpleton. Just fullow instrucshé-ons and maibé you'll survive." The cat sneers.
"Honey, you really should be nicer to your captors." Camelia tuts at you, "You catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar"
You see your daughter slip out of your sight to your left. There is a loud crash, and then another. Tamako let's out a yelp of surprise. You can't see it, but from the the sound of crunching and cracking noises coming from your left and the slivers of wood flying by you imagine Emogen is free.
"Piers what are you-" The cat and it's cohorts say, frozen in place as your porcine co-worker appears between you and the throng of clowns, along with your disguised daughter. Tamako triumphantly pulls off the mask and tosses it at the clowns, though they don't seem to care about that projectile much at all. Instead, there are gasps at the reveal and one of the clowns says, "Hey, you aren't Pierrot!"
"Yeah, knowing the guy I'm not sure how you could even make that mistake." Emogen says, plucking off some rope still stuck on her wrists. "Being that he's way taller, way deeper voice, and way less talkative."
"Ah... Glad it worked out so well." Tamako says alarmed.
"Tch, Zése idiots must bé rubbeng off on me." The cat says under it's breathe, and then announces, "Zis changes notheng, othair than insuréng zat we'll 'avé to keehl you. If anytheng, you made mon job easiair. Now wé know whaire ze changeleng eez. Just un of you left."
"The changeling is off limits!" Camelia says, doing her best to shield Tamako, though your daughter seems to be trying hard to squirm out of her grip. "And what happened to saving them as samples?"
"Mon misshe-on was just fair ze princez." The cat replies, "Ai would 'ave liked ze rest to be a bonus, but c’est la vie."
Not being able to do much more than watch, you notice that the clowns and the cat are making lot's of complaints and threats, but not actually attacking for some reason. Perhaps they need a delay just as much as you do? What could they be waiting for?
