No. Boomer NIMBY homeowners do everything they can to stop building more housing or denser housing because restricting supply pumps their home's value. California is the easiest state to cockblock construction thanks to the state's ridiculous amount of red tape/regulations. It also has tons of illegals, compounding the problem.
Also despite all the talk about how much they love diversity these virtue-signaling libshits don't actually want the brownoids they're inviting across the border to live near them. That's another reason to not build more housing and force the help to have longer commutes. They want Pedro to come mow their lawn while his wife Juanita cleans the house, they want it done cheaply, then they want the help to fuck off out of sight and out of mind until they are needed again.
