Traveling alone is quite pointless since you don't have anyone to talk to pass the time and actually unravel the things you are experiencing. If I were to visit some medieval castle I've always wanted to see alone, I would get there, look at it and go

Furthermore, travel experience as a guy is very different than that of women. My sister traveled to another part of the country and everyone was overjoyed just to hear her accent and people would just randomly approach her for directions and such. No one wants to randomly approach sub-par men, not here or abroad. You're invisible at best, and a target of scams and muggings at worst.
