yeah i tuned out of any web design/development shit around then: everyone was going on about how THEIR JavaScript framework is like, totes minimalist and fast.
i was always stuck wondering why have those in the first place? props to the d*rk w*b for showing that sites can work perfectly fine even with JavaScript completely disabled. no nodeJS or React or whatever we're on now.
of course it all gets integrated and now HTML5 video may as well be Flash (remember when you could wait for a whole video to buffer, on YouTube? you know how <video> tags are right-clickable so you can download the video?)
i do not like this Web Worker/infinite scroll/login wall/.webp world we're living in.
