Look, I get it. Something like that can be upsetting. But for your health it is best to recognize that shitty things happen in nature literally constantly and regardless of any individual action. She saved that duck for a day. Tomorrow, the next day, and every day for a year that duck is still at risk of being raped to death. Not to mention the millions other ducks that experience shit. I don't fault her for trying, but in the face of these millions of events -- and that's just for duck rape alone -- yeah, I'm going to have a somewhat nihilistic attitude toward natural cruelty.
