maybe there's some spyware rootkit on my phone now, who knows. still would rather get the device back than not (even if it was purely to sell it, better than nothing).
watched that Channel 4 police tower block standoff thing, the IT couple were just scrolling through the bloke's WhatsApp messages. not just the pictures on the filesystem, but every conversation he's ever had. it scary. but oh well.
