I got a vpn and watched the first clip using that. That one was less cringey. I think what made me cringe in that video was more to do with Louis and his choice of compliment "you have the most amazing energy about you" whereas I would be more inclined to make a situational comment or compliment clothes/an item they are holding. The idea of a prop seems legit as it gives common ground for a discussion. I was surprised that lady at the end gave Louis her phone number after he invited her to "look at the stars some evening with me". I feel like the PUA guy offered some sound advice with the "ask them: what can we do to stay in touch?" which I would use in a real life scenario as proposing something like "Let's keep in touch, I enjoyed talking with you and want to learn more"
Overall more believable and not as horrible as that second clip
