Because the current majority right wing government is fucking things up royally and since 4chan has a mostly early twenties user base this is for many of them their first election where their candidate won. And now they are starting to see why voting in a meme candidate who owns the libs might not be the best idea for longterm stability.
I know that for some of you newfags and election tourists 4chan is supposed to be a right wing haven but during the Bush years this place leaned very liberal. It's actually the conservative shift that is historically against the norm.
