i initially disliked chiyo when i started watching azumanga but by the end of the anime she really grew on me, not to the point of being my favourite (reserved for yomi) but definitely to the point where i appreciated her and her role in the main cast. i only finished azumanga a few days ago (after i put off watching it for years geg) and the ending was probably one of the few endings to anything that actually made me feel melancholic that it was over. i wish azumanga couldve went on forever and i wish that their happy little world existed somewhere here but i know that their happiness and friendship that i have been denied all my life could never exist on this earth. it makes me sad but i know it has to be this way. im not going to say everything i thought about azumanga because that would probably warrant its own thread that would get slid after an hour but in summary it was incredibly kino. probably best slice of life ive ever seen, maybe even better than nichijou but its a close call

chiyo won btw
