That was my only point anon. Syria and Ukraine both produced millions of refugees. So it's also logical to be antiwar and for economic prosperity if you want to reduce motivation to immigrate. This also goes for dumping LA gangs into Central American countries with inadequate police service. That's the difference between macro understanding of issues and just getting wound up by politicized media. In-group out-group manipulation is the oldest trick in the book. Most Syrians are also in Turkey apparently, makes sense.
