Can't pull them up atm, but National Vital Statistics, Decennial Censuses, and the American Community Survey is where most of what I mention about marriage and births comes from. They have been comping this data since the 1930s. iirc it was NYU Langone Health/NYUMets database is the brain data about how genders responded to being alone/with a low value partner.

Few things to consider, for starters, any data that is polling is dubious, you can't see into their mind and discover what flares up to stimuli. Example, the example I shared about women unhappy with a low value partner? When asked some women said they were fine with with a low value man, however most women claiming that had their amygdala fired off effecting the prefrontal, so while they said it was fine, their brain was horrified at the idea. So a person can say they are happy to a pollster and be unhappy. Also consider how their mood is in the moment and where they are, if you ask a person that just got a 4k medical bill and dealing with the death of a loved one if they were happy with life, would they have the means to look over several years to build and answer or would it just be all the current pain right in front of them? Finally it's worth stressing I said they handle the pain of being alone than out right picking and living with a low value guy, in both cases they are suffering, it's just one is easier than the other.
