Because if you're going to have an argument with someone and they are clearly making up their own facts then you can't trust that a word or idea that comes out of their fucking brain is credible. They are arguing in bad faith. They will say anything to get their point across even if its wrong. Maybe they are listening to people that are clearly not credible.
