I see it everywhere. The bogan culture in Australia has translated into the educated and upper class. People arent see as funny or likeable unless they lower themself down to hobopill status, but must make it apparent that theyre not actually hobopilled since thats seen as disgusting. Its all become an aesthetic for people, and acting like youre trying to improve your life or work towards a greater goal is boring for most since it means you cant go to bars and get pissed with them.
