This is breeder cope. Every parent I know is living paycheck-to-paycheck with debt, while their kids grow up looking at brainrot on tablets. I and other childfree dudes have savings and investments and will probably be retired by the time we're in our 40s-50s. There will never be a childfree tax big enough to offset the fact that raising a child to 18 in a developed nation costs anywhere from $100k to $300k. And then there's college and the possibility of your child ending up as "failure to launch" because AI and competition on the job market. Your job and spending as a parent doesn't end at 18. The only breeders I know who are not poor are managers and successful business owners and even they say having kids has cost them massively.
