Everyone is different. If you are happy and content just being a cog in the machine, that is fine, these people still have their value. Getting fulfillment from that is a different story, I wouldn't but I'm also not that kind of person. Pursue math then, there is still much to be discovered and refined. That is where this fulfillment comes from, it's the pursuit and the participation in something grander and wonderful.
