It just feels like, as the internet has grown larger with more and more users, it has become impossible to have meaningful conversations on the "public" internet. By public here I just mean anything accessible to the general population, such as forums, 4chan, reddit, any social media website, etc. where anyone can talk to anyone with little barrier of entry. 1 on 1 conversations can still be meaningful online, but finding people seems harder than ever due to how the above has become so shit. All of my online friends at this point I have known for 10+ years.
