Well what's your rent?
Basically when I started work I was on 22k a year, and I was 22. I live like you in that I don't go out or buy shit or subscribe to shit, my only vice was video games but this was back when Steam was super cheap (and you just pirate shit).
I found a houseshare that was 600 quid all bills included. My takehome was about 1600-1800 if I remember rightly, or something like that. I broke it up into thirds where I had 600 for rent, 600 for food/living, and anything leftover for treats or savings.
I lived like that for ages and eventually kept getting pay increases at work to the point where I was way more comfortable. I wasn't even trying to shop cheap or do wholefoods stuff (but this was back when food was cheaper, although I reckon I can still make it work now as I spend 600 quid a month on food if I really scrimp and I drink booze and stuff)
Even if they had rent at 1k I'd have still just about coped, even if I had to cry to mum/dad more for the odd bit of help or scrimp more pennies.

Also I'm not in london or something, which helps.
