I'm on the fence about this. Some people say it's inevitable; maybe it is if absolutely no course correction is done, but really the course corrections seem overwhelmingly popular and quite simple to implement and could be done in a number of different ways.
Maybe the ruling class really are just such retarded cunts that they're willing to burn the country into ashes as long as they can continue to try and push their ideology, but I feel like people are generally more cynical.
Don't get me wrong, it's not going to be pretty whatever happens and things will obviously get much worse before they get better, but I don't think it's inevitable by any means. If a government had the will to change things, most problems could be outright solved in 12 months.
