I disagree, it's not a functional drug and afaik the main thing that people search with stimulation is to become more productive to a degree, be it socially or functionally and ecstasy is not very efficient at that(in the social aspect it is a bit), yet if we're talking net stimulation it's hard to deny it's a potent one, it doesn't release as much dopamine as other common stimulants but the increase in serotonin and noradrenaline still has the potential to give you a massive boost in energy.
