I was their age at the time, and just kind of felt vaguely annoyed by it.
There's something about being told "you're young, you're cool, you go to crazy raves, and do crazy drugs, and have crazy gay ethnic friends", and then looking at your own life and it's just playing Sonic Adventure on Gamecube while browsing Newgrounds, or something.
I wouldn't have been friends with those kids IRL. I would have thought they were arseholes. I would have been a one-note joke character who exists to get put down by Tony. Glad the cunt got hit by a bus.
