if some organised group does it and they happen to be vegans, hats off to them.
if it's small vegans doing it on an individual level, that is not going to make a difference. if it's a local group, that is not going to make a difference. and if your standards are something like "oh no, this food is wrapped in plastic. i'd better pay a quid more for the non-wrapped-in-plastic-food that came from an ethical organic farmer much farther away!" then i hope you can see the obvious problem there. (and the hip company are hopefully laughing at you.)
