Well Christianity already did that to Judaism, didn't it? It took Hebrew scripture and bent the interpretations to fit Jesus. Then Islam did the same thing to Christianity. That's how religions have often developed. The later revelations reinterpret earlier traditions.

How do you figure lad? I think Islam is the strictest monotheism there is. When Protestants claim Catholics worship statues, it's not because they pray in the same direction. It's because they literally pray TO saints and the virgin mary as intermediaries with God. That doesn't happen in Islam.
