Leftism is not simply change. Societies have always changed, MAGA is changing western society at this very moment, and historical figures sought to change their societies in some way more or less what you would consider left or right. By a modern definition, those who are right wing by today's standards produced the art you like. Racists, sexists, transphobes, fascists, "christofascists," antisemites, these are the artists that wrote western history.
