>is it that awful to be a childless woman in her 30s? i'll need the top psychologists and sociologists of /britfeel/ to give me their best takes.
Financially it's better to be childless and as long as you get fulfilment in other ways you'll probably find being childless to let you pursue those other goals much easier.
The reason "childless in 30s" is always such a worry for femoids is because they have that biological clock as well as some evolutionary wiring in their brain to at least consider having kids. So if you don't have kids by the time you're nearing 40, the chances are you're fucked. So that makes them basically get a FOMO that has been wired into their primate brain. Children are an easy "my life has purpose now" method.
That and their is a societal pressure. Despite not being a girl I have been lectured BY girls that one day I will want kids even though I've said I don't, and "you'd love them once you had them!!!" which is a very weak line of reasoning but would work on more empathetic people (namely women). Just think of all the stigma around being a "lonely cat lady" etc.
tl;dr:
no child = more money/time
can be bad if they dont have a "purpose" otherwise, as children can provide that
women in particular are typically hard-wired to want sprogs
