There needs to be something of a shift in the economy to address all of the planned obsolescence. I fully welcome it. I know if I ever get my own place and enough money to mess around with then I'm gonna make really durable stuff.
>hah, sorry, yeah, also its mushroom season, best time o year, though for some odd reason my area has been fucking barren besides the common boletes and such, hope it picks up some
Man, I wish there were nice mushrooms I could find around here. We have chanterelles and stuff but I've never seen them. Just poisonous mushrooms and one time a cool coral fungus. Tiny thing.
>hah, yeah, when i do gram coloring on samples (rarely) its such a magical thing, can kinda see what you got on the slide before even using the microscope, i make kind of a guessing game of it, work used to be more fun with diff plates n such, but now its mostly just feeding it into the machine and seeing what data rolls out
You're making me really excited here, anon. You're telling me you have access to some nice equipment, huh? Hmm... Would you like to handle potentially poisonous salt mixtures for science? :)
>will check this out when i come home, good stuff, always nice to hear someone excited about microbiology :p
Hell yeah, also for another bit of microbial lore, a giant amoeba that seems to steal spicules from carnivorous sponges so it can do the same thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiculosiphon_oceana
