Millennial were sold on a lie, completely psyopped by pop culture growing up. They were told if they just worked hard or took that shot with the ladies, they'd be successful. In reality they had their future stolen from them by oligarchs living through multiple economic crashes/wealth transfers to the 1%. All the women were sold on media like Katy Perry and American Pie, and are disillusioned, alcoholic materialists barely skating by on their office jobs with depressed wages needing roommates to survive in the big city. Since cost of living is through the roof. They have multiple STDs from all their tinder hookups and are on several medications. The men gave up and plunged themselves into hedonism too, lots went the gay route because they can't get any ass and they still live with their parents working retail or other low-wage work because their degrees didn't get them anywhere. Millennials in turn had to cope hard, whether it's drugs, nostalgia-baits repackaged as soulless remakes, food deliveries through apps, going to a new restaurant every weekend etc. They can't afford it but they do it anyway. Anything to forget the future that was stolen from them.
