It's a mixture of feelings. There's the romantic desires that get mixed in with sexual desires which elicit a feeling of wanting to be as close and physically intimate as possible with a woman. This is what guys feel when they're lonely and want love. Sex and love are very tightly coupled in our minds so it's particularly annoying when women say things like "you only want me for sex", since it's illogical in the male mind to not include sex in our experience of love.
But then there's also the ravenous hunger which can completely take control of your mind with lust when you see a sexually attractive woman that's your type. It's hard to describe the intensity of those feelings. It feels like there's a beast inside of you that wants to completely own her and use her to satisfy its thirst. Every squishy curvy portion of your body is like a drug to this beast and the feelings you get even imagining interacting with the female form gives a high that is comparable to actual drugs.
