>i hope kids don't get made fun of for watching like back then
eh. then they'll get made fun of for something else. bullies will always make up a reason no matter what.
>I actually don't see it being as popular as people make it out to be online
popular enough that platforms like netflix and disney+ want it to draw in subscribers. that's all that counts.
>i could care less about the technology of itself, but do find the philosophical aspects of it interesting
agreed. i think i used chatgpt once and in the end it wasn't that helpful. the summaries at the top of searches can be, but i'm not sure that counts as me using ai. not like i have a choice. ^^
>i don't discount the idea of something achieving human like intelligence
possible, but the result would still be something inherently inhuman. at least i hope so. humans are, for all their so called intelligence, completely retarded.
>I think understanding human consciousness is itself a difficult topic, let alone artificially recreating it
true, but just today i listened to a program about some people feeding an ai with the results of psychological experiements and studies and it's become very good at predicting human behavior, which i don't think is a very complex issue. there's just a ton of variables you need to identify.
>let alone artificially recreating it
probably more an issue of if we should than anything else.

>I make sure I remind the AI who's side I'm on every chance I get!

>I was thinking to go for chaos knights since that'd just be one large model to work on, rather than a bunch of identical looking lil guys.
maybe start with the smaller ones and work yourself up.
>hope you're doing alright now
thanks. i'm alright, just a bit slkw.
