here's the opening I got so far.
In asoiaf, a lot is happening behind the wall. Wildlings flew south from a great destructive force. The dead have risen and march in armies. The others create these weird spirals and wield old forgotten dark magic. Elves and giants exist and might be dying. Magic mind possessing Worgs are common place and have lived past their deaths in the bodies of eagles. Blood raven has been alive as a time traveling tree and guiding Bran to his layer for an unknown purpose. There's an accent legend of the night king who made a deal with an ice zombie witch women and this may have constructed the wall. Which is also magic and needs an accent horn that might be in old town, or on it's way to old town, or still in north, or in Euron Greyjoy's hands. Who plots the end the world in a blood sacrifice that raises a water god fish monster from the deep.
Oh and Jon's been placed in charge of the night's watch because a crow conveniently voted for it. Stannis Baratheon saved him and the wildlings, introduced his bitch wife and Melisandre to Jon, and then Stannis went to war with Ramsay Snow. Then Ramsay (probably) lost all control over his world and wrote a letter to John about losing Theon to Mance and wanting to kill fake Arya. And according to Melisandre's visions, John might be the chosen one, Azor Ahai reborn, meant to save the world from the long night. And he might be the Son of Rhaegar Targaryen and Lyanna Stark, thereby making him the rightful heir to the iron throne. (sorry Danny) And now he's dead.
Due to a plot from (checks notes) Cersei? Wait? That actually worked? Wtf?
Did I miss anything?
Oh yeah, his soul is probably in Ghost.
But who is this Ghost and could he be a secret player in the game of ice wizard between the others and blood raven?
