Remind me again what country just slapped 15% tariffs on us for no reason and demanded significant "investments" (read: tribute payments) to not make them even higher? Or who tanked our economy in the 1980s with the Plaza accords?
In a multipolar world, Japan needs to look out for its own interests, ideally being friendly with both China and America and dependent on neither.
But never with war; a barbaric and expensive custom that we were right to consign to the dustbin of history, and other nations should follow our lead in that regard.
