If fish and chips were still our national dish we should have laws on how it should be produced like the Germans do with beer. One of the best takeaways out there when done right, but most chippies are terrible. Chips should have a slight crispness with a fluffy interior and the batter on the fish shouldn't be too thick. All chippies in my area do the complete opposite.
