Fuck, well, I was away from my computer and what I had saved to clipboard got erased. I honestly don't feel it was important enough to type again, but in short, I essentially said that my thoughts are, that the very fact the topic of OP's post is even a discussion means that society has already collapsed and we now live amongst the ruins. We aren't actively in collapse, it already happened, because of a faux hegemony that rules over society, and that to regard society as normal would mean you have to reap the fruits of the collapse and live out the long and drawn out death of civilization. Those who don't want to take part in that, have to take refuge in something else and in some sense outcast themslves from it, perhaps even from the world.

It's sort of a war between faux hegemony and truth, but the nature of the world is such that it can't be divided from hegemony. Perhaps this is why not being of the world is so integral to Christianity.
